Cold IPA is new style of IPA. Pouring clear straw gold, with a crisp smooth body. Aromas of tropical fruits and mandarin citrus abound from the vigorous hopping of Centennial, Ekuanot & Eclipse varieties. Brewed with barley and maize and fermented warm with lager yeast. It’s these ingredients and specific fermentation control that define the style.

Normal IPA is fermented warm with ale yeast, and genuine lagers are fermented cold with lager yeast. By fermenting with lager yeast at ale temperatures a hybrid yeast flavour profile results. Combined with IPA hopping rates this gives a very clean hoppy profile.

FAQ: How does it work?

It couldn’t be simpler, just pull out the tap and pour. There are also instructions on the side of the mini-cask container in four simple steps with diagrams to show you how to pour the perfect pint.

FAQ: How long will it last?

Think of it like a large bottle of pop! If you only open it to pour a drink and keep it cool, it will stay fresher and last longer, but just like a large bottle of pop, once you open it, you’ll need to finish it within a couple of days or it will go flat.

Once purchased, our minis should be kept cool, out of direct sunlight or heat, and they will last months, however, we recommend ordering when you plan to drink them, as we regularly fill new mini-casks for you to experience the taste of pub fresh beer in the comfort of your own party at home.
